Crazy... I'm glad that both officers were able to recover from that. I'm also glad that he was able to stop the guy before he went on and hurt more people. At that point, if he's going to do that to cops, there's really nothing that would get in that guy's way.

Kyle just got out of his last surgery and is doing much better. During the surgery they did something to remove the pressure from his spine and it started to return to normal size almost imediately. His legs are feeling much better and he is now playing PSP (a game he calls carbon).

Kyle has been checking in every now and then to read all of your post and he is very happy for all the support you all have given him.

Unfortunatly the bullet proof vests that Kyle and other officers wear do not have any protection from knives. Kyle's fellow officer was slashed in his throat. Luckily he tried to back away as the knife was swung and the knife didnt go deep enough to do a lot of damage. He did lose a lot of blood and his wife tells me that he is recovering well but they are keeping a very close eye on him because when he got cut he passed out from the loss of blood and hit his head on the ground. He has a severe concusion.

Kyle's parents got here a couple of hours ago and his older brother is on his way in town right now. Kyle's mom is a wreck and she is very upset. Kyle has tried to calm her down but Kyle is her youngest, so she is pretty upset. Im doing alright because Kyle is still cracking jokes and making fun of people, so I know he is doing alright. Whenever he isnt being funny he is either at work, or something is very wrong.

Kyle told me to say, "i-vtec, do you?" i dont know what that means but i guess you guys will.

Thanks to everyone for their comments and their encouragement. It is very apreciated. Almost the entire police department is down here at the hospital and everyone is really upset that this happened.

Kyle, you're a pimp dude. You have no clue how much respect I have for you. I hope you have a quickened and full recovery, and that your fellow officer returns quickly to health as well. It's always a small number of people that ruin everything for the majority and the worst things always happen to the best of people. Thank God that it didn't end up worse than it was and end up hitting a vital organ. You have to try and make the best of every situation and I hope you ar eable to take this experience and turn it into something positive for yourself and/or your career.

Alli, thank you for letting us know. I'm sure this has been an experience for you as well and we're all here for y'all.
