I have to agree with jeff from tov, the si sedan is a real winner, apart from the styling. The front grill looks terrible, so do the stickers and the rear. The missing bar on the interior looks funky, but what I noticed is that there seems to be more red stitching around the center console and sides. Is this only for the sedan or coupe too?

Here are a couple articles about it. Mostly the same info we already have, but it's nice to see other sites are quickly responding as well.

Honda didn't want anyone talking about it until at least the 1st of the month. These publications have already seen (and driven) the cars. I think it went down in Detroit like a week, week and a half ago. That's why they're responding so quickly. Just waiting to pull the trigger.

I'm not very good at photo chop, but I'd actually love it if the Sedan tails looked something like this

You'd be driving a miniature Acura TL at that point.

That kind of makes me wonder.. Is there any way that the csx trunk lids will be interchangable with the civic sedan? Because, that chop does look 100x better imo.
That's the only thing that I don't like about the sedan.. The tail lights look goofy to me. Like the designers hit that 3am point and just closed their eyes and said "put these on that car.. we're done."

Firmhonda, the trunklid of the CSX is interchangable, but that won't eliminate the lights on the trunk. The CSX has them too, they're just different.

I realize this is a JDM rear, but it's essentially the same as the CSX.

Already been done. :) Check out this thread.

Looking at it, you'd need the bumber, trunk, and lights. Possibly harnesses in the odd event that the CSX is using different bulbs.

Dammit, Cameron!

I think the car as a whole looks good. I'm uninspired by the rear spoiler though. I believe Honda could have done a little better job in making it unique or different from the coupe. It just doesn't flow right with the sedan. Looks like the engineers were up late at night, tired and said to each other, "Let's just cut the risers off of the coupe spoiler and glue it down the trunk and see what it looks like". At 2:30 in the morning, it probably looked like a good idea. But then again, I'm not a Honda engineer, so maybe it's the only thing that worked and maybe there were budget and production constraints...

I just read the press releasal today. It looks meh. I gotta give Honda credit for only making the car 60lbs heavier than the coupe. Amazing! I also read that the 07's are getting traction/stability control. That'll be interesting.

Not feelin it at all. The front end is far less sporty than the JDM/Canadian front end. My biggest beef is that long, single lower grille on the Sedan--it screams "commuter-mobile." Compare it to the three lower grilles on the JDM version, and you see that that model is 10x sportier in aesthetics.

I think they should've made the Si look like the CSX. Not that I didn't know this was coming (afterall it's pretty much identical to the Si Sedan Concept), but it's far less sporty than the Si coupe IMO.

If someone wanted the choped look on the tails, I'm sure a body shop could achieve this with no problem. It'll give the Sedan a whole new very nice look, almost 7thgen coupe tails on the rear

I thought it was supposed to be around 250 lbs heavier..

I need to convince my girl to get an SI sedan. She's not much a coupe girl. She likes 4 doors. Then at least, I could drive an SI until I can afford to trade my current civi in for an SI coup. I could always give her a few grand for the deposit and forget about an engagement ring.

They should have the three-spoke steering wheel on all Civics. I'm not too fond of the two-spoker we have in our non-Si sedans. So list of things to get off of Si sedan and into my EX:

- Si front seats (not likely that I'll get this)
- three-spoke steering wheel (looks like a hassle to install...will wait for someone to do a DIY)
- Si front/rear sway bars
- Si sedan body-colored grill
- Si exhaust finisher

Rice, rice, baby!

hondapartsdeals.com and collegehillshondaparts.com is gonna love me!

That was an estimate.

From Cars.com:

Quote:
What’s unique about the sedan is that it weighs only 60 pounds more than the coupe.

From Car and Driver:
Quote:
And the sedan retains the razor sharp handling, bolted-in feel and overall high level of canyon-carving satisfaction of the coupe, as the Si sedan weighs just 60 pounds more than its two-door sibling.
