honestly, I think it's a double edged sword...more cops mean more tickets, but it could also mean that people drive smarter. Would be good to have more cops in the area just in case something happens so someone doesn't pull and hit and run while you're waiting for the TN police to arrive

Fun fact: That one used to be Fiji Blue, but then they masked it with that white stuff. Cops are weird. Anyway, it's parked at the cop shop in Kanata, ON if anyone wants it.

Also, there was a car show in Ottawa and there was a little strip for cars to "show off", anyway the cops had it there and they took it out for a little spin. The cop driving it did a little burnout off the line. Everyone cheered, good times.

Unfortunatley, there are a ton of motorcyclists who are ruining it for everyone. I take that back... There a are a ton of what the sportbike community call "Squids" ruining it for everyone. From Wikipedia: "A squid is an irresponsible motorcyclist. The term is derogatory and common among motorcyclists in North America. It is generally associated with a new or reckless motorcyclist seen riding erratically and/or beyond his or her capabilities, often without appropriate riding gear." My brother is a sportbike nut, and has been for years. He's slain the dragon many, many times, but he does it safely and in full race leathers. Unfortunately leathers don't really protect against trees, and cliffs, and there are plenty of them! If your a novice rider, and you want to give your 1000CC superbike a thrashing, STAY AWAY FROM THE DRAGON!

I didn't get to attend 8CCDII, but I went a few weeks later on my way back from NC (I live in Nashville). My brother was with me. There were sportbikes up there acting a fool. I had 2 or 3 almost hit me as I winded the curves at speed. One rider had to be life-flighted out who had wrecked while I was there. I heard rumors that he died, but I really don't know for sure. He says that these idiots getting hurt all the time are the main reason for the police presence.

When I was there, I made 5 or 6 runs up and down the Dragon. I have a bad ass radar detector (Bel RX65 Pro), and it never even beeped. They weren't using radar, b/c they know that most serious riders/drivers have a good radar detector.

They were normally waiting on the other side of a blind curve. I was on the throttle pretty hard a couple of times when I saw them, and they didn't mess with me. My brother said they would have if I'd been on a bike.

I you all take the time to go to the site that have some of the vids posted of the cops you will see that most of the people that get pulled over are crossing double lines, insane speeds and generally being retarded.

So dont be retarded and respect the double yellow!
