Friday is a marathon day and we're starting early
http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/8thci...itinerary.html
To those who plan on arriving Friday morning, be there super early and pack your energy drinks because it's going to be an even longer day for you than the rest of us. To everyone, I would suggest having a full tank of gas to start the day because we ain't stoppin' for no stinkin' gas. There will be some breakfast at Tapoco Lodge (what it will be I don't know yet) available at 7:30 a.m. At 8:30 a.m., we will be lined up and ready to depart the lodge for the rafting place. All times after that up until the 6:00 dinner at the grill are suggested times. My goal is to be ahead of schedule and get back to the lodge for a little break before heading up to the grill. |

Actually, we will pass a couple places on NC-28 so you maybe can stop if necessary and catch back up with us. If you're going to be there on Friday morning for rafting, my advice to have enough gas to drive that day's route. 3/4 tank should be easily sufficient but I would recommend having a full tank so that way you have enough for half of Saturday's loop as well. We will be stopping at Cherohala Market in Tellico Plains, TN for gas on Saturday. |
