8CCD-III Itinerary (Updated 2/26/08)

Thursday

12:00 p.m. - Lunch at Tapoco Lodge
2:00 p.m. - Depart Tapoco Lodge
3:00 p.m. - Jet boat ride at Smoky Mountain Jet Boats
5:00 p.m. - Gas and dinner in Robbinsville
7:30 p.m. - Meeting at Tapoco Lodge

Friday

7:30 a.m. - Breakfast at Tapoco Lodge
8:30 a.m. - Depart Tapoco Lodge and head for Wildwater Ltd via Yellow Creek Rd. (becomes Upper Tuskeegee Rd.)
9:30 a.m. - Rafting on the Nantahala River at Wildwater Ltd. Lunch to follow.
3:00 p.m.- Pics at Fontana Dam
6:00 p.m. - Dinner at Deal’s Gap Motorcycle Resort’s Dragon Den’s Grill

Saturday

7:30 a.m. - Breakfast at Tapoco Lodge
8:00 a.m. - Depart Tapoco Lodge for exhaust shoot
11:00 a.m. - Depart Tapoco Lodge and drive the Tail of the Dragon
12:00 p.m. - Lunch at Pizzeria Venti in Vonore, TN
1:00 p.m. - Head towards the Cherohala Skyway. We will stop at Cherohala Market along the way for gas, drinks, etc. On the skyway, you have the option to stop at any of the various overlooks for pics.
4:00 p.m. - Group pics at Tapoco Lodge
6:00 p.m. - Voting for the Coolest 8thCivic Award
6:30 p.m. - Dinner and banquet at Tapoco Lodge

Sunday

10:00 a.m. - Breakfast at Dragon Den’s Grill

*We will make every effort to exactly meet the times in bold. Other times are approximate.

*Departure times mean that we are lined up and ready to go.

sounds like a blast if the family vacation falls through we will def be there last year was awsome.......def staying at the lodge this year though

I figured we could all get gas then eat. So we'll be eating at more like 5 something than 4:30. I might do some adjustments on Thursday's schedule though depending on how many are going to be there for the jet boat ride.

Edit: I bumped it back 30 minutes but 5:00 is an approximate time so we may be getting there a little earlier or later. We'll gas up before we go eat.

I am still waiting for them to pull the deposit out for my room, I want to come down on Wed but I can't so I should be down Thursday by 5:00 pm

The jet boats and rafting are new additions this year. We had some more free time last year but I noticed that people tended to stay together. We'll see how it works out this year.

So we'll be eating at more like 5 something than 4:30. I might do some adjustments on Thursday's schedule though depending on how many are going to be there for the jet boat ride.
