I noticed this aswell.
Also- im really picky with stuff so i went out and picked up a skunk2 weighted shift knob. This thing is AWESOME and makes shifts feel smooth and un-notchy. I had an aluminum knob on there (very light) and i felt that grind shifting from 1-2 and 2-3.
