chylld and dragon88: Seems like you're having the front suspension pop/clunk problem (there should be a couple other threads about that, see
http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41059). I have that pop too sometimes when I go over a speedbump/curb, or when I turn in to a right hand corner. I've only ever had this pop from the front driver's side. The problem with that popping problem is that it is hard to replicate for the mechanic. The rear passenger creaking noise that is described by this thread was much more consistent and thus easily reproducible for the mechanic.
