I'm looking to buy a FBP 2007 Honda Civic Si Coupe w/Nav. I knew due to it's popularity, it would be hard to find. I inquired at a nearby dealership about special ordering and I was told it wouldn't be a problem. The car at the dealership, although they don't have one on the lot, is being sold under msrp at 23199. I wanted to squeeze a few more bucks out of the deal, so I offered to buy it for 22750.

Once I got to the dealership to discuss it more, the sales manager told me that civic si's w/ nav are no longer available for special order and that Honda is actually telling them, NO we are not taking any more orders for that 07 model of this car. However, he also informed me that on June 22nd the next allotment will be available and he'll be able to find out whether or not I can special order an 07 then, or maybe even an 08. If it was an 08 civic si w/nav, I could special order it in June and possibly have it by September. I requested pricing on the 08s and he speculated that if they didn't do any major car changes it would be $300-$500 higher than msrp is now. If changes were evident, then $500 - $700 more.

So, am I getting the run around or is there any truth to his story. Oh, and as for getting it from nearby dealerships. Nobody has one within the tri-state area. I live in Dover Delaware, zip code 19902. Thanks!
