Are you sure you are calculating that right? The worst ever gas mileage I have ever gotten in my Si is 25 mpg and that was after my first tank of gas. After that it has been pretty much in the 26-28 mpg range.
17-19 is the gas mileage I have gotten with my 2000 Mustang GT.
Heck, my brother in his 135000 Mile Grand Marquis gets 20-21mpg average. You do realize your car has more than 3 gears, right
