OP you already have a set of headlights with a perfect place to retrofit projectors into. There is absolutely no reason to go out and spend 500 bucks to retrofit a brand new set of headlights.

If you are on a budget and are half decent mechanically (which you must be to open up the headlights and tape over the holes in the shield), then do yourself a favour and save yourself a ton of cash and do it yourself.

For projectors:

1) TSX's are the best bang for the buck "low beam" projector. You should be able to get a decent pair for 160 bucks. Second choice for being on a budget would probably be an RX330 non-AFS projector. These can be had for about 130 bucks...and if you spend some time on HID planet, you can modify the projectors for better output and colour than modded TSX's.

2) Cover up those LED's in your low beam area. Heat up some ABS plastic and form a shroud. It will cost you no more than 30 bucks, and you can paint it black or have it chromed for more money or whatever you like. But that will get rid of the "tackiness" that people are talking about.

All you really need are a good set of projectors and some patience and you can have a pretty kick ass pair of headlights.
