I was assembling a speaker enclosure for my home theatre and was using this hot glue to do tac assembly before using fasteners.
Before anyone says "Hot glue is gonna melt with engine temps blah blah..."
this is contruction adhesivise. i noticed while using it it gets very hard and dries quickly. So I thought WTH. I got out my glue gun and started melting the sticks, it takes a higher temp to melt this glue that your mount areas will ever see. I have had the Boombas and sold them once before. I wish I saw this earlier. I filled my top dog bone and my lower mount full of this compound and it was rock solid within five minutes. I slapped em in and beat the balls off my car for quiet a while. No cracks no breaks, nothing, i let the car sit in a heated garage for a while afterward and there was definateley no sign of melting. Here are some Pics and the product package.
NOTE METHOD OF APPLCIATION:
Fill with one layer at a time. Fill a layer, let become hard. Fill again. Let harden. Repeat blahbalh. This will let the outer most layer have its own area to become soft because of outside elements. It wont contact the other layers because of the surface tact of the other layers. Thanks again
Sorry for teh iphone pics.
