Also, can't an aftermarket head unit with 22w rms or 35w rms damage the stock amplifier? I am seriously planning on buying the JVC KD-SHX850 and it has 35w rms outputs. Should I then bypass the stock amp? I wont use the stock sub either since I got my 12in.

i want to do this too , i want to foreget about the damn stock amp and its stock spkrs and its stock sub , and i wanna install a new stereo and amps ...
so now i just unplug the 2 connectors that are on the amp and that it ? or do those 2 connectors that are on the amp must be connected towards the new stereo? like this unplug amp wire kit > goes to a wire harnes here < ___ and plugs to the new aftermarket stereo???
