I bought a Pioneer DEH-P980BT. For 700$ here in Canada.. I expected it to be good. Or, could I have done something wrong? I used the 70-1722 wiring harness and just hooked up the sub remote power (only wire not in harness). Also, the tweeters were muh louder than the other speakers. Any hints on that would be greatly appreciated. Have a nice day.

Did you use the factory amp and speakers?

 What model car?

I velcro'd the PAC controll to the back of my DIN pocket (plenty of room back there, and easy enough to pull it out through that little trap door under the radio so you don't have to tear apart the dash to program/reprogram it)

I'm running a Pioneer Premier DEH-P680, great stereo, but I did not use anything out of the wiring harness but the power and ignition. I found my own ground, and everything else I ran myself with new wires. I don't recommed running a new stereo without replacing the factory speakers (they are meant to work with the low power factory stereo and have itty bitty magnets, so it's easy to overpower them)

Did you try putting in a power line noise reducer before the HU? (it's a couple caps and resistors you place in-line with the power going to your HU)
