The stock radio was the XM ready unit with 7 skeakers (tweets up front, 6" in the doors, 6" in the rear deck shelf with 1 - 8" sub also in the rear deck shelf). This stock radio will play MP3s, so yes you can load up your cds.

It also has a input jack (headphone style) that you can hook up your IPOD style MP3 player, but just sound will come through, no titles/artist.

I did not get any upgrades, XM receiver/bass system, nothing.
The stock radio is great for someone who just listens to music, As for me, I wanted more bass and better quality/control sound. I want to do a compleat system Amps, compontets maybe for show but not comp. I am still looking for all the right parts I may want.

Note on the factory bass upgrade, it would replace the 2 - 6" in the back deck shelf and I dout that would sound to good. IMO.
