GREAT write up!! I plan to install a deck very soon, however I am an audio installer and have a few questions. Are the door/deck/tweeters amplified? Is just the sub amplified? I have a 06 Si, and want to make sure that when I connect an aftermarket deck, that it will sound good. With many newer cars with premium sound (bose, infinity, etc) you cannot just tap onto the wires. You need to run new wires to the speakers as they are already amplified and the internal amp in a CD player/TV makes for some terrible sound. Or is does the factory radio provide power just like an aftermarket cd player?

Second question, is the only wire you use off plug 2 the remote amp turn on wire?

Finally, does the AUX jack still work with aftermarket headunits? I love the ipod!
