Change your tranny fluid. Mine did that from day one, and it would always downshift at any sort of incline. I changed my fluid with 5 quarts of Q premium performance ATF it drives alot smoother and almost never changes out of 5th on the highway
the clunkyness is from low pressure, foamed fluid, or burnt fluid. I drove my car 31k miles so far all highway and the fluid was brown and burnt.
