Otherwise, I'll just drill a hole on the left side, next to my window adjustments and the blank cover spot. NEXT to it...not IN the blank cover spot (07' VSA button). I have 06. I guess it'll be a safer place for it on the left side so a passenger can't hit it.

Yeah that's where I've got it. Just be aware that there is some plastic directly behind that spot, so you'll either have to place it well or shave some plastic :)
