My husband was stationed in Qatar when he was in the Navy. He liked it alot. I, on the other hand, have never been there. Are you a native or an ex-pat? I ask because it seems that almost no one is from this region anymore. I was stationed in Bahrain back in 2001 and it seems I had more Australian, British, and Filipino friends than anyone else.
Post some pictures of your car when you have a chance! Cheers!

Yeah unfortunately the driving here is pretty crazy too! I'm hoping for a pass to park in the underground car park out work cus the sneaky buggers are always knocking into you and driving off!
I'm British, it's the same situation out here really, most of my mates are British, Australian, American... I do have some local mates though. I think it's more of a cultural thing, it's hard to be really close friends with someone who cannot/will not do things like go to bars or have a drink, which is quite a regular feature on our social calendar out here as there isn't really that much else to do!
Do you know if there are many motorsports shops out there where one can find parts for a relatively cheap price? Everything is so expensive out here, that at the moment from what I can tell it's cheaper to order from the states! I've been trying to find out if there is anywhere in the Gulf that has parts at competitive prices so I can save on the shipping.
Heres a few pics of my baby:
