It's a bit easier to sew the panels together first, and then run another line of stitching over top of it to sew the "dog bar" back on. I hope that makes sense
I only did the seat centers... all the black areas you see in the finished pictures is the original material. RedFrost did his differently in that he also replaced the forward-most panel on the seat bottoms.
Also, thanks for comments on the DIY.... knowing people appreciate it makes all the hours I put into it worthwhile!

Well it's definitely something I'm pricing out and looking at doing at this very moment. I'm doing a huge car auido build right now, so this will most likely be the last thing that gets done, but it's for sure going to get done.
Can you tell me a couple of things?
1) What kind of foam did you use for that? Is that just closed cell foam?
2) What did it cost you to do what you did? I'm actually looking to do all of my seats completely for a couple of reasons. First is I'm putting, or have put in and am re installing, 7" video monitors in my headrests. They look bad and I found a different application but I'm going to have to re do the fabric on my headrests. Number two is I don't like the way the seats look and if I can do this without wasting a ton of material, then it's gonna costa hell of a lot less than the Katskinz application. More work but way less!
I guess the only other question I have is, how much material did you use for yours? You did the doors and the seat mids. I'm looking at 2 colors and I was estimating about 5 yards each color. Am I over shooting or is that about right? Here's what i"m doing.
Lower doors, because I'm building pods to go in there (long story). Dark Grey
Middle doors will be light grey. Thinking about Dark Grey too, simply for dirt factor. Arms dirty, dark color, good, light color bad!
Handles will be light grey as well.
I'm doing the A pillars because of speaker pods. Dark Grey
Seat outlines and head rests will be Dark Grey
Seat middles will be light grey.
Center console will be Dark Grey.
Center console in rear seat will be Dark Grey as well.
Rear Pillar trims, again for speaker pods, Dark Grey
Also doing a rear deck rack for components, tray removed, this will be Dark Grey.
I think that's about it. What do you think?
