just found this thread today. great job, +rep... funny thing is, i've set up an order with Auger Resources for some fabric. The real ultrasuede is about $80-$100 a yard and i don't need a whole yard, so they're gonna sell me a couple small pieces for a good price.
doing mine next weekend, so much for being the first one to do it!
