Hondata reflash review

After a full summer of shooting for 13's without the reflash, I submitted to the vtec gods and purchased the hondata reflash back in december. Being I live in the frigid state or North Dakota, I wasn't able to test it out until the past week. My first impression was...wow. Hondata did a VERY good job at making the power and vtec engagement VERY smooth. The crossover is pretty much gone, and the vtec engagement isn't really noticeable....at all. That exact point is why I am writing this. After I had installed the DCRH and catback, along with the AEM CAI, the vtec engagement was very noticeable and I think most honda fans would enjoy the feeling/sound at 5600. The calm buuuuuuuurrrrr to rrrRRRAAAAPPPPPPPP is something anybody can get addicted too! But with Hondata, that is all gone. The car is very noticeable faster, and pulls so strong all the way through the power band, but I think someone that isn't looking for a bunch of speed, may have more fun with bolt ons without the reflash. That is my personal feeling/experience. I am shooting to be in the elite for 1/4 mile times, so this reflash is very necessary and gladly accepted, however if I was 16-18 I would probably regret getting the reflash...

There's my $.02
