I will actually PayPal someone some money who can help me with this...sigh

This is a great guide . I''ve exhausted myself with all this research, but still cannot figure this one out on my own. I figure a lot of knowledgeable people are here and can help me with this...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have a basic LED "scanner" strip. Has a red, black, and yellow wire.
Here are the its directions:
"If you have a car alarm:
A1. Connect the red wire of the LED scanner to 12 volts constant positive.
A2. Connect the black wire from the LED scanner to the negative when armed wire of the car alarm
A3. Connect the yellow wire to 12 volts constant positive.
OR
If you do not have a car alarm:
B1. . Connect the red wire of the LED scanner to 12 volts constant positive.
B2. Connect the black wire from the LED scanner to constant negative
B3. Connect the yellow wire to the ignition wire that shows 12 volts when the key is turned to the ON position.
You're done. If you installed it with car alarm using step 1 above, then whenever you arm the alarm, the LED scanner will activate.
If you installed it without a car alarm using step 2 above, then the LED scanner will activate when your car is parked and the key is in the off position."
Whether I use Method 1 or Method 2, I don't care. I don't even know which method I'd use because I don't know if my keyless entry on my 2009 EX qualifies as an "alarm".
With this information in mind, plus what you know from Civic-specific fuse knowledge, can you guys tell me exactly what to do, and which fuse/wiring locations to use?
I've gone nuts going through countless DIYs and Googling, but cannot figure this one out.
Thanks
