well how long did you work? how much did you remove? You may have taken off enough clear coat to not bother trying to buff that out.
However, if you want to give it a try go buy some meguiars ultimate compound around $10, and some foam applicators (cheap), microfiber towels, maybe some meguiars swirlx (also pretty cheap), and wax it to finish.
You can do it for probably around 20 or so if you order offline at ADS (autodetailingsolutions.net) Or just look in stores
