I just installed one today on my car. The general steps are simple, but the amount of room you have to work with makes it a pain in the ass. Once I managed to squeeze that thing in there..I had to take apart the whole bar (3 pieces, not including bolts, washers and nuts) to get the mounting brackets to seat properly on the bolts on the strut tower.
Once I had them both on there (not bolted down..though I guess you could if you wanted to.) I worked the bar back into the mounting brackets, reinserted the bolts and tightened them down a bit. That's when I decided to fully tighten down the brackets on the strut tower. After the brackets were secured, I finished tightening the bolts that came with the bar and reassembled the stock pieces of the car I unfastened.
It's pretty easy, but if you lose your cool quickly and just want to start smacking things with the hammer..then it is pretty annoying.
This thread gave me a good starting point as far as getting access to the area I needed.
