i am debating whether or not to lower the lower vtec from 4750 to 4500 or so as well but then i started looking at the other maps and it looks like Hondata goes from 4350 (car without race header) to 4750 on maps designed for a car with a race header.... i wonder if there is a specific reason for this... i dont want to lower it, if in fact it is making better power at 4750 cause i have a race header...

once you start tuning individual cam angles at full throttle you start seeing a pattern develop. it's easier seen in 2d. you'll dial in the afr's where you want them and you'll see a pattern in the way fuel is being delivered.
if you study those fuel curves you can get an idea of where it is you're making the torque and where you're not. it should give you an idea of where more or less the vtec point should be set.
but from my own personal experience, depending on the setup the vtec point is either high or low. for your basic i/h/e bolt on mods i've seen really well flowing setups with vtec points as low as 3500. while i've seen others with a restrictive header or intake or both that like a vtec point higher up in the rpm range.
