HFP was never designed for a drop in mind. It was designed by Honda as an actual increase in suspension preformance over stock.

You could expect the HFP dampers to last a tad longer, in theory, than if dropped on stock dampers. Nobody can tell you how long they will last. You WILL sacrifice performance of the dampers if you go this route.

If you want to go lower than HFP and not sacrifice suspension performance, you are going to have to spend some money and go with a damper application such as KONI Sport (Yellows).

If you are going just for looks, mate the Progress Springs to the HFP dampers.
