It should be obvious that right before the 2010 model comes out, the order from most to least bought will be 9, 8, 7, 6. Think about it, the 2006 comes out and people buy it, then it gets lots of hype for being awesome, so more people buy the 2007. Now you have hype from 2 different years reaching more bought, so 2008 is the most popular, and so on. This theory should hold true, unless gas prices or the economy severely affect most cars for a certain year. I mean SUV sales dipped way down like 1.5 years ago, but as soon as the gas hit $2.50, people started buying them again, as if a few months of good gas prices proves that gas will be cheap for the next 5+ years.
