I noticed this morning that I had a noise coming from the rear passenger wheel. The noise seems to happen at shorter intervals when you move faster. In other words, it gets progressively worse the faster you drive. Also, the noise will go away under braking. I would describe the noise you hear when knives get sharpened.

What do you think it could be, a rock stuck in the dust shield or ...? I'm hoping it isn't a bad wheel bearing. This happened to my girlfriend on her GTI and it was just a rock that was stuck. Otherwise, I will have to take the wheel off some time tomorrow and turn it slowly to see if there's anything I can pick up on. Also, the pads have plenty of life in the rear.
