Well its been raing all night long and all this morning well I had to take the wifey to work and I was going thru my normal route when I see a puddle that covers both sides of the street but it looked low enough that I should have made it thru.... Well half way thru the car starts slowing down and shuddering and then it shuts off so I pull over and try to turn it on. I hear it trying but nuttin so after maybe a minute I try again n it turns on but starts shuddring again n then it shuts off so I turn it back on n it does so I limp it over to a parking lot and I just let it sit there (still on) for a minute.
I rev it a few times in neutral and everything sounds normal so I put it in gear to get out and as I am lifting my foot from the clutch so it can get to the catching point it starts to feel wierd not like it use to be yesterday but its moving forward.
Then at stop lights it starts idling wierd as well, it would b around 600rpm then jump up to 1000rpm n then drop back down to normal.
Now after I drop her off I deciede to accelerate faster then my normal way to see if acts funny so by then the wierd idling is gone and the car is driving normally but not really sure
also info on my car is its an 08 civic si has modified stock intake throttle body spacer k&n drop in filter and dropped on sportlines.
Oil life is also at 40% but I am going to change today just to be safe.
Any tips on what I can do to make sure my motor hasn't hydrolocked? Or what else could have happened? thanks
