College Students - Free Textbook Exchange Information

A decent percentage of the 8thcivic community is currently in college or has a sibling in college so just wanted to give a little update to the bookexchangeonline. It is an absolutely free way for college students to exchange text books with other college students. I'm sure all of you know how frustrating is when you try to sell your text books back to the book store only to find out they're worth absolutely nothing if the professor isn't using that textbook anymore.

The good news is that other schools around the nation may need your book. Why not exchange your perfectly good book with other college students who are looking for yours? That's precisely what the bookexchangeonline.com does. It lets college students put up their textbooks online free of charge and lets you swap textbooks with other students or schools. The site is relatively new and is just trying to gain a larger inventory of books to help students out. The owners of the bookexchange are looking to help out college students by providing another outlet for college students who may not want to spend hundreds of dollars on new text books every quarter or semester.

The owners of the book exchange have notified me that a number of people from 8thcivic have signed up to the site, but not many have uploaded books yet. They encourage you to put up any book that you may not be using any more, collecting dust in your closet, or whatever. It may not be useful to you right now, but it may be the difference to another college student between taking and not taking a college class.

Again - it's free to signup, free to use, free to swap books, etc. They are just trying to help college students out by offering an alternative to the outrageous pricing of the campus book stores. Why not upload your books?

Their forum sponsored ad can be also found in the watercooler forum.

If you're already using the bookexchangeonline - feel free to give them some feedback. They'd love to hear more feedback from members on the site.
