I filled up, drove for 52 miles ( I can't keep my foot out long) and filled up again. I feel I could attain the same or close maybe around 30mpg if i keep driving like a wuss. Yea I'm gonna do that....right. But anyway, i just wanted to know how good it was capable of. I have noticed full throttle runs use alot of fuel. I did the same thing a few days before but I made 2 0-80 mph runs and I raced a z28 and I got 26mpg. Went the same distance and same city driving.
I am sorry but 33 mpg city for an Si is very difficult to believe unless you idled the car and coasted downhill for all of that time. There shouldn't be that much of a drastic difference either just because you got on it a couple of times. 26 mpg is a lot more believable than 33 mpg city. I drove mine very gently the first couple of fill ups which I got about 24 mpg for the first fill up and then from there on out I always got about 25.5 -26 mpg very consistantly regardless on how I drove the car. That is 80 percent city and 20% highway btw.
