If it didn't need a clamp how did you connect the two pieces that are equal in diameter? The Vibrant exhaust needs the Clamp in order to connect the two pieces since they don't slide into each other. The clamp is like a heavy duty band aid ( metal band with two clamps on each side) Without that band clamp the only other solution is to have it Welded.
I love the Comptech exhausts and would have gone that route if they wouldn't have gone out of business
I would love to have their header.
