I know this thread has been dormant, but I feel compelled to report this:

Brought my 06 si (have owned it for three months.... 36k mi) to have a faulty door latch replaced. Discussed with the service mgr the TSB and problems with my 3rd gear. He had a service tech drive it and immediately told me that they would replace the 3rd gear set. I have had the car back for 2 weeks... and it has been like butter (at least for a honda 6 gear man tranny

). No arguments, no hassle... problem fixed.
