Haha yeah, on first-gen Mustangs if you wanted to lower the front end more than an inch you'd have to completely relocate the upper control arms or the suspension would bind up. However, OP, our cars require no such hacking or welding, and I'd stay the hell away from your so-called "guru."
Take a look at the dumped thread, there's plenty of people who are near scraping with nothing more than coilovers and camber arms.
