The bag trick works most of the time for me......provided I take my time and I make sure the I keep the bag tight to the oil cooler as I remove the filter. One wrong move and you'll have a 1/2 qrt of oil on you chest. Also take care as you remove the bag with the oil and filter from under the car......if you're using a cheapo bag and you hit the bag on something sharp.....you'll have a 1/2 qrt of oil on you.

Honestly, there's no sure fire way to get a mess free oil change on Si. I'm coming up on my 15th oil change and I'd say that I end up with a mess 25% of the time.
