Atleast here in Connecticut, you're allowed as many yellow lights facing forward as you want. You're limited to 2 pairs of white lights facing forward at one time. i.e. no fogs and high beams. This isn't enforced as I'm constantly blinded by dumb ass SUVs with 3 sets of fog lights and improperly aimed headlights.

In most cases you're never going to get pulled over for just your lights. Especially yellow high beams since you really don't need them if you're driving around a town and if you're outside of town you should turn them off when people are coming towards you. I doubt most people, let alone police, will see them.

Also as DRL, yellow is a completely legal color, pretty much all GM cars have amber DRLs.
