After reading some the replies to this thread, I did a little test with my exhaust tip. I first polished the tip - I used a buffing wheel. For the areas unable to be done with the wheel, I used the ole Dremel tool. I then went on to put 3 layers of Klasse Sealant. I was thinking it being acrylic, it would tolerate the amount of heat that the tip would be exposed to at the end of the exhaust pipe. Well, after one week of driving, I took a garden hose and sprayed the soot right off. All it took was a cloth to wipe it down to bring it back to a shine.
