That's been my schema for 'upgrading' for all of the several MS OS's. I moved to W95 when OSR2 was released. I didn't move to W98 until SE, moved to 2000 when SP1 was released, and the same for XP, when SP1 was released. I've got 4 perfectly good XP boxes running and see no reason to be the extended beta tester for MS. As their track record has shown for all of the above listed OS's, they 'got it right' with the first SP release.

That said, I've been and RC tester for Vista for several months and been quite happy with the test box I've been running it on. Some bugginess with certain cards, drivers, etc., but overall pretty 'neat'. (Outside of gaming, which has been pretty abysmal...though most of that could be attributed to system requirements and crappy drivers)
