Dealership's suggestion for "REQUIRED" service my Civic is due for
Oil Change
Tire Rotation (thanks, my tires are almost completely worn, i really need this)
Brake Inspection
Battery Test
Engine air filter replacement (the tech kept saying this line really fast to try to fool me into thinking it was more than an airfilter replacement)
Parking brake lever adjustment (are you f'ing kidding me?)
Suspension Lube (never knew this had to be lubed)
Door Hinge Lube (wow...)
27-point inspection
All for a great value of $179.95!!!
Seriously how much of a joke is this? Only my dealership's oil change is worth it at 32.95 because it comes with a car wash, and they do the 27-point inspection telling me what my car needs. But all those other things on the list, do I need it? Do I need to do it myself (suspension lube, door hinge lube, parking brake adjustment)?
One thing I know is that my power steering fluid is soiled (from a previous 27-point inspection), stealership wants to charge me 99.95 to do a flush, hah.
What are your opinions on the dealership's suggested service or on any of the specific suggestions above?
