True, but the more people go into a dealership on a holiday, the more the owners are encouraged to open on holidays next year.
In reality, the dealer doesn't do that much more business by staying open on days like July 4th, Memorial Day, etc...But they do it anyway to try and squeeze a couple of extra sales out of that month. Ask anyone who has to be at work on the 4th if they wouldn't rather be at the lake drinking beer, and see what sort of answers you get.
