I just did this mod... Thanks for the helpful pix!
I bought a low tone horn from Pep boys for $20 and spliced it onto the existing horn line like you did... Then I mounted it right beside the original horn, so I got the low tone from the new horn, and the high tone from the original. Sounds much better.
