well I tried out the short ram.. its causing the engine to mis-fire and have a rough idle. i'm thinking the air is either coming in too quick for the sensor to read the air flow causing it to run very lean or the placement of the sensor is bad, which I can't control due to constraints in the engine bay, and its still causing it to run lean or sending a bad signal..
If i'm getting this problem.. you probably won't be seeing a short ram intake for the LX/EX models unless they can find a better spot to locate the air sensor than I did. I thought my spot would've been fine as its the same distance as where the factory was placed.. and even facing the same direction. If I could add additional piping before the air reaches the sensor.. i might luck out.. but it would involve relocating the battery as i'm right up against it.
