I've read in the owners manual that the automatics can be shift like a manual; from 1, 2, D3, D. I've personally never done it because i was always skeptical it might screw up the transmission. But a couple days ago while i was at Honda getting serviced, i met a guy with a 08 Accord who told me he really wanted a manual but had to settle for an Auto since it was the only one on the lot in his color.
So he told me he would shift it like it's a manual and he said it's just like a automanual shift mode.

I'm just curious to know if anyone else does this and does it feel like it's stressing out the transmission?
