Okay, I get it now

Yeah, I'm kind of unsure about how much of that to cut away. I may end up cutting more of it away and using something else to complete the "socket" (thinking ball-and-socket joint). Unfortunately, some of it has to stay, or else you'd end up losing the reflector for the high-beams.
