I understand your points but timing is still not controlled the proper way. The proper way is not through manipulating the crank or knock sensors. Also, do not forget about MoTeC. MoTeC had been shown to work on several different cars. It does control DBW without a problem. DBW isn't even that big of a deal. The kpro for the tsx and new s2k doesn't even touch dbw and controls the rest of the engine including cams.
