DO NOT HOOK UP AN AMP TO THE REAR BATTERY!!!
The rear battery is in the 150V to 160V range depending on the year of your hybrid. You will see lots of "magic white smoke" if you try to run any 12V amp, deck, radar detector, etc off this battery.
You are stuck with running power wires from the 12V battery under the hood.
