i mounted mine on the trunk right in the center. Best reception there. Do not mount it inside as the pillars or roof can block a lot of the signal. you might notice longer signal loss when driving.

Its very easy to mount on the trunk.. just run the wire underneath, zip tie it to the trunk arms, go under the rear seats, and hide everything under the carpeting until you get to the front.
