The test results from pc world were more than lack luster. They only had improvements over XP when they had over 2 gigs of ram and a dual core processor. Installing vista on their single p4 machines actually made their PC processing times around 20% ... WORSE. They basically knocked vista for being not much more than eye candy and slowing things down in photoshop, frames per second on games, and spreadsheet applications.
