Idk if I would use silicone but I'm sure it works.

After my v1 emblem from GRFXP didn't stick I got a v2 emblem from them and I cut out pieces of 3M double sided adhesive that fit in each opening of the H badge (covered up the black sections). The pieces of double sided tape created a level surface for the emblem to adhere to and the fact that it is sticky helps also. I installed it months ago and have never had a problem...
