The sedan might be different but in my Si I cant open the trunk with the key. There is a button on the key to pop the trunk and a lever in the car but other than that I cant open the truck so if my door is locked and I don't have a working remote, I cant get into my trunk.

Yeah, I've heard that before. If you can't access the trunk without your keyfob, I wouldn't try this mod.
